Swivel fittings are hydraulic connecting elements that hydraulically connect stationary and rotating mechanical parts. They can be used to solve problems such as torsion or unacceptable bending radii in hoses. Using swivel fittings can significantly extend the service life of hoses because it greatly reduces the load on the hose.
The service life of a swivel fittings largely depends on stress-free pipe connections. Therefore, direct connections to pipes should be avoided. When connecting hoses, it is recommended to use a swivel nut fitting (DIN 3865).
We recommend using short, straight hose lines (the free length of the hose should be approximately 5 times the outer diameter of the hose). This helps absorb shocks, vibrations, etc.
