The 1JN Series adapter features a straight body with a JIC male 74° cone connection on the E end and an NPT male thread on the F end.
On the JIC side, sealing is achieved through the matching flare and cone surfaces of the compatible connection. The 74° included cone angle corresponds to the commonly described JIC 37° flare geometry.
On the NPT side, the tapered pipe thread forms the threaded connection. The required sealing method depends on the applicable thread specification and installation requirements. Confirm the mating port standard and the appropriate assembly method before installation.
The series includes multiple thread combinations, from smaller sizes such as 5/16"-24 JIC with Z1/8"-27 NPT to larger combinations such as 2.1/2"-12 JIC with Z2"-11.5 NPT, as listed in the supplied drawing.

The 1JN Series adapter can be used where a compatible JIC female flare connection needs to connect to an NPT female threaded port or fitting. Potential applications include hydraulic piping assemblies, fluid power equipment, and hydraulic systems using these two connection interfaces.
Confirm the thread type, size, sealing interface, and installation dimensions of both mating components before use. Suitability for a particular pressure or operating condition must be established using the specifications for the complete connection and system.
Identify the JIC thread size required at the E end.
Identify the matching NPT female thread specification and size at the F end.
Confirm compatibility of the JIC flare sealing surfaces and the NPT threaded connection.
Check A, B, L and S1 against the available installation space.
